Thursday Mornings

So my usual routine during the week is that Mondays I do yarn drop off, then I go to the office at Universal and then I go to knit for a little bit. Tuesday and Wednesday I usually stay home and dye and knit and then Thursday is knitting at my LYS all day. 

My favoritest yarn store A Tangled Yarn has open knitting every day of the week at some time. It's actually one of the reasons I started going there was the option to pretty much go anytime I wanted. And I did, try out every night to see which I preferred. Mondays won because for the most part I get to hang out with Ann, the shop owner, who has become one of my favorite people. Her husband is a hoot, but that's a blog post for another time and place. And Thursdays because it's the "wild" night. And honestly the morning is a little wild too.

So there was a group of older ladies (we're talking 60-80's) who would meet up at the community center and knit. And so when Ann opened the shop, she invited them there and they sort of never stopped coming in. It's amazing the just range. A lady from cuba, a lady from England, and just the sassiest ladies you have ever met. Seriously, I want to be these ladies. And it's never dull or calm. My husband is sure that we sit around and are quiet and calm. It is anything but that. 

And Thursday night. well, lets just say that last year around this time, the knit-a-long at the shop was a willy warmer. And I can tell you each one of them let their significant other model it for them. So funny.
