All about the Yarn...

So I guess it's about time to talk about my true love. Yarn. I haven't been knitting for that long actually. Just since probably 2010? I actually didn't take to knitting. I ended up taking a beginners knitting class at one of our Local Yarn Stores here in Charlotte. (can you actually believe that in this one city, there are 11 yarn stores!) or LYS as us knitters like to call them. I cried during my lesson, and thought oh heck no, this is soooo not for me. Five years later, I work for 2 yarn companies and pretty much have my dream job.

I work for Expression Fiber Arts, dyeing yarn and for Universal Yarn, knitting samples for magazines and books and stores etc. I can't believe I'm so lucky to do the two things that I really love doing most, and get paid fantastically for doing it. Dyeing is hard work and not for the weak. It's a lot of work, but I love the process; even if my hands sometimes end up red, or in todays case, green.

Right now on my needles I have this on my needles right now. It's about one of 8 projects I have going.
I think my one regret might be that I chose a yarn that didn't have quite so many colors in it, and so it's not really the same feel, although it's very pretty. I sort of have a love/hate with it. Sometimes I'll look at it and love it. Sometimes I look at it and hate it. But I'm beyond the point of no return. If you are on ravelry, the link to this pattern is here and you can find my ravelry account here at Alwysavolsgrl. add me to your friends list, I will totally project stalk you though and add like everything to my que. It's crazy long.
