The Internet
So a mid-week update. that's kind of exciting right? well maybe it's a little ranty though. prepare.
So I try to be a positive whatever ray of sunshine and 2020 was rough. I'm working out that in 2021 though. But I just read something some internet troll posted about the Queen of England and I was like really? Do we really need to be an assclown to a 90 year old woman who just lost her husband?
But it's not only that. it's like Khloe Kardashian. Is she like someone who I look up to? But I don't go on her Instagram feed and talk shit about her. Like I try to live my online life where if my Nana (that's a southern girls grandma btw) was to see what I posted she wouldn't be so ashamed of me. And I think more people need to live their life that way. Not everyone needs to know how much you hate this and that. Spread Kindness not fuckery.
Here's where I rant about my knitters. So I follow someone on twitter who is constantly complaining about the things that people who are knitting their patterns say to them. I get that it's venting. But how do you think a person who wants to ask a question to them might feel if they see all the complaining they do about people who do ask them questions. Not everyone is a knitting genius and can just figure it out. It's so disappointing to see people who are genuinely trying something new be put down in such a way. Especially about something that is supposed to be so positive and relaxing and uplifting. We're supposed to encourage people not bring them down.
And that's how I'm going to go forward on all social media and in my life. I'm having such a shit time health wise (I currently might have shingles... Seriously 2021 I see you) and I'm just so exhausted and tired all the time, I could use a little bit of sunshine in my life. I told one of my besties today that 2020 actually tried to kill me several times, and I think 2021 is going to be the "you wish 2020 had succeeded in killing you" year.
