Ok Mid April, I see you

I feel like I want this blog to work for my life. But I am struggling with motivation to make it happen.

The in's and out's of my life are pretty exciting and honestly there's never a dull moment but translating that into something I think other people would want to read has been a challenge. Plus, I get so busy. And how many pictures of a butt bunny wreath (oh there's a story) do you guys really want to see.

Our friends from Texas are coming up to visit, I'm planning this ridiculous July 4th party that I can't seem to get motivated to start working on; and I'm still in that "people annoy me" phase of the coronavirus that I just can't seem to shake.

I had a pretty nice weekend. Tom and I went on a real date for the first time in a year and a month. It was nice to be served tacos and margaritas by someone who wouldn't get so sassy about it lol. Plus I've been on so many "don't drink alcohol while taking this" drugs I really haven't had the urge to just drink myself silly. I'm not going to lie, I'm looking forward to an unless amount of  Hurricanes and Amaretto Pina Coladas. I have so much wine I haven't opened from the stock up.

Things I did this weekend: Oh! I finally decided on the general idea of what I want my dining room curtains to look like. Curtain Rods were delivered today! And I'm pretty excited about it. I've got all the fabric, and my trim gets here on Tuesday. So Wednesday night I should have new curtains sewn and hung! The grey has been a challenge for me, but I've settled on grey and navy with a pop of yellow here and there.

Next will be getting the Dr's stuff into his office and out of the dining room. I'm very excited about that prospect. I think he is too. We spent some time this spring getting his office cleaned out and purged, and art hung. Although he will not let me hang curtains. That's a battle I'm not willing to fight though. I'm lucky he let me put sheets on the futon in there. I have some pillow cases to make for there.

After that I need to work on the bench for the breakfast room and finding the hutch I want and new barstools. I also have a new rug for the living room that has been rolled up since before Christmas. It would be nice to have that laid down.

So goals for this week:

  • Pillow Cases for Independence Day
  • Invitations for party
  • Embroider shirts
  • Clean off my sewing table and my desk.
  • Work on getting a quilt finished
  • Start on dress
