The NeverEnding Story

 So "The Dr" and I are doing this 30 day film challenge. We're both big movie lovers and not being able to go to a movie theater has been rough. We have that AMC A List so we basically get unlimited movies so we go see EVERYTHING. But we've been stuck at home and we'll Netflix is not doing it for me. We are currently at day 10 of this. 

Day 1: The First Film you remember watching - My pick was He-Man the movie. I loved skeletor, that says something about my men choices as an adult btw. Tom's pick was Smokey and The Bandit. I've never seen Smokey and the Bandit so it's what we watched. It was spectacularly amazing and I still don't get Burt Reynolds sex appeal. No Thanks. 

Day 2: A Film that you like that starts with the first letter of your name - Tom's Pick was the Terminator, Mine was An American Werewolf in London. CLASSIC, and one of Tom's favorite so I won this challenge. 

Day 3: A film that has more than 5 words in it's title - This was easy. Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb Classic and perfection. 

Day 4: A film with a number in it's title. Sequels seemed a little on point, so we went with Pi. Obvious because that's our anniversary date. on purpose. 

Day 5: A film where a character has a job that you want. Married a Rocket Scientist, it's gonna be space. Gravity, but also any job that involves George Clooney. Sign me up. 

Day 6: You're favorite Animated Film. I won hands Down, didn't even give Tom a chance. The Little Mermaid I'm going to pay for this choice later in this challenge. 

Day 7: A Film that you will never get tired of - this is also the day that Ian Holm died, and since it is one of my most favorite movies ever Alien by far it was a choice for both Tom and I. 

Day 8: A Film where you liked the soundtrack better. My pick any of the Fifty Shades of Grey movies, Tom picked Tron: Legacy Basically Daft Punk get's to be Daft Punk. It has an amazing soundtrack.  Tron: legacy won

Day 9: And the whole reason for this post. A film you hate that everyone else likes. Tom has an intense hatred for A NeverEnding Story. 

I watched A NeverEnding Story and was like I love everything about this movie. What's not to like? Jonathon Brandis (check) You see the problem here right? Jonathon Brandis does not appear in The NeverEnding Story Big fluffy dragon dog. Sold. I've apparently gone my entire life thinking that The NeverEnding Story 2 was The NeverEnding Story. WHOLE LIFE. And now I get his hatred of this movie. Someone should have just told that kid to name the empress at the begginning and it would have saved me that 2 hours of my life. Still Love the sequel though. Like there was nothing awesome about it. I'm still a little mad about it. Like how did I not know?
