Sunday knitting failures...
So here it is. My weekly knitting failure. it's going to be this Mosi Mosi Shawl eventually. See what had happened was that on our Rhinebeck adventure, we went to the podcast meetup. It was awesome and Deb, Angela and I each got to fangirl out on our favorite podcasters/designers/yarn dyers. It was awesome. This shawl was kind of the hit of the show and I came back determined to make it. I also came back determined to use stash yarn for this. HAHAHAHAHA. right. I ended up promising myself that I was gonna finish this one project before I started it. (I didn't) and then I decided to order yarn for the main color. I ordered Hedgehog Fibres Dk in Juniper; it's the grey speckled that you see in the main part of the shawl. I hate it in this. it is dull and while a pretty color it's just not doing it for me. So of course i ended up ordering another color. Madelintosh Salt. Basically a speckled white that will go with everything. Luckily it's only two day shipping from my favorite online store but it's in time out for now. And I'll eventually have to unwind it. But with the new colors i might rethink these colors so it's basically all up in the air now.
My next knitting unsucess is My ardent in the Miss Babs BFF colorway. Its fantastic and I was supposed to have this done like last year.
Isn't it stunning. But I'm at the boring garter stitch forever section. I did one repeat of 9. that was about all i had in my heart to do. Ardent Shawl. eventually that's what it's going to look like. IF I ever finish it. I probably won't I'm not even gonna lie. 2020 and i'm still gonna have that shawl on my needles.
My torquata is also STILL on my needles. These colors are AHMAZING with a little bit of sparkle. also my weiner dog snuggles with me.
Tonight since I can't work on my Mosi and neither of these projects are saying knit me I wanted to work on my November Socks, Called Hot Chocolate. So pretty. It hasn't taken me all day to decide I wanted to do these in a pretty rich red. I have just the yarn for it and as soon as my husband's Sunday Dungeons and Dragons game ends, I'm going to go grab my yarn and wind it and watch the cowboys hopefully win and knit these ding dang socks.
