sock knitting extravaganza!

I'm teaching a toe up two-at-a-time sock knitting class and it has refreshed my love of knitting socks. I seriously can't remember the last time I actually wore a pair of socks, but I do love them. They're like little tiny sweaters for your feet. 

I've always thought that I'd like to knit my way through and entire knitting book or magazine. Like those people who are awesome and cook their way through a cookbook. So I've decided to knit my way through Indie Socks: Knitting Patterns and Dyer Profiles. I love this book and I love every single sock pattern in the book. 

This is going to be my first pattern, Spyglass Lane. I'm using the purple from my Mosaic Moon Fairy Stars deconstructed set. It's a little richer than what the pattern designer is using, but i think that it's still feminine and rich and I'm sure it'll look amazing.
