Southeastern Animal Fiber Fair (SAFF for you non-fiber enthusiasts)

So yesterday, Crystal and I went to SAFF. It was amazing, and as usual I ended up buying way too much, who am I kidding there is no such thing as too much fun. The drive alone, is so freaking gorgeous, especially around this time of year...

Everytime I go to a fiber festival, I come home completely inspired.

this will end up being the yellow lace shawl you see up there.
and this will be the purple vest (it's so soft)
and so, I got quite about amounts of goodies...

after SAFF, my local yarn store A Tangled Yarn Shop had their halloween party. it was fun. Our halloween customes had to include yarn in them for something. I decided to be a Yarn-i-corn

It turned out super adorable. Im not much of a crocheter, and you can find the pattern for the Unicorn Hat by clicking here . I'm surprised there's not a tail available because have you ever seen a unicorn without a tail? Duh. No. So here's a better picture of the tail and I'll tell you how i did it.

Pretty much what I did was wrap entire skeins of yarn around the width of my Ikea coffee table. once I had a thickness I was happy with, I tied a string tightly around one end, and then made another loose loop, so that I could have a loop to safety pin it to my pants, or no-pants leggings in this case. Then I cut the other end. I pulled it off the coffee table and separated that into three sections and braided it. Although if you wanted to, you could do whatever.

After the halloween party, on my way home, I ended up stopping at the grocery store, it was kind of awesome walking through the grocery store with my tail on.
